We
recommend advance booking of a taxi driver from Positano, to be sure
you get a conformable car and a correct price (approximately 110 Euro
for the transfer from Naples to Positano) - Contacts. |
By car from Rome
or Naples (a car in Positano is neither needed nor recommended)
- Take the highway A1 to Naples
- Remain on the A1 until the
very end at Naples (DO NOT TAKE THE SALERNO ROAD NEAR CASERTA BUT KEEP
HEADING TOWARDS NAPLES (Follow the sings "Penisola Sorrentina"
when approaching Naples)
- Follow the highway A3 from
Naples in direction of Costiera Amalfitana
- Exit at CASTELLAMMARE di
Stabia (This means that you NEVER HAVE TO LEAVE the highway from Rome
until Castellammare)
- Follow the signs for Sorrento
until you reach Meta (13 Km). As you drive through Meta look out for
signs for Positano (usually blue) you will be turning left soon
- Turn left following the
sign to Positano. Once
you are on the coast road the next village will be Positano (16 Km,
approximately 20/30 minutes drive)
- Arriving at Positano on
the coastal road from Naples and Meta di Sorrento, there is a very sharp
turn right into Via Pasitea, the one-way internal road in Positano (there
is only one).
- After two U-turns and another
200 metres you will find at your left hand side the Dependance
Villa Franca and on the right a bus stop. There you can stop the
car for the time required to unload your luggage make your way to Casa
San Matteo to left down Via Monte

- Casa San Matteo è raggiungibile
